Who we are

Gentle Reminder helps people receive reminder texts for important dates and approve flower or card orders by text. Contact: help@gentlereminder.io.

What we collect

Account information you provide (name, email, password), reminders you create (recipient name, date, occasion, optional notes), and, if you opt in, your mobile phone number and a record of that consent (timestamp and the wording you agreed to). If you place an order we also collect the delivery address and card message required to fulfil it, and payment is processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the Gentle Reminder service: send reminder texts you've asked for, deliver approval requests and checkout links, route order-related updates, fulfil approved orders through our florist partner, process payments and refunds, and respond to support requests.

Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in, and consent records

Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent records are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with service providers only as needed to provide the Gentle Reminder service — for example, the messaging carrier that delivers your reminder texts, the payment processor that handles checkout, or the florist partner that fulfils an approved order.

Text messages and consent

Gentle Reminder sends transactional and informational text messages — reminder alerts, approval requests, checkout links, and order-related updates — only to phone numbers whose owner has opted in. Message frequency varies based on the reminders you create. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Consent to receive text messages is not required to continue or use the service. The public opt-in form is at /text-consent.html.

Contacts and calendar data

When you connect or import contacts or calendar entries, that data is used only to power your reminders. It is never sold or shared with advertisers. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to add a recipient's phone number and to send them messages.

Recipient information at checkout

Recipient address and card message are required at checkout and are submitted only to the florist partner fulfilling the order. They are not used for marketing.

Cookies and session

We use a first-party session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Retention

We keep account, reminder, and order records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can contact help@gentlereminder.io to request deletion.

Your choices

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any Gentle Reminder text, or by emailing help@gentlereminder.io. Opting out of text messages does not affect your ability to use the rest of the service.
